About Ben

So, what should you know about me?  Well, I’m probably the most boring interesting person you’ve ever met.  Or perhaps I’m the most interesting boring person you’ve ever met.  I’m not exactly sure which.  I don’t party, I don’t drink, I’ve never even smoked a cigarette.  In a lot of ways I’m 23 going on 40; a middle aged man that’s settled down and going bald.  I’m 6’4 and used to weigh 287 pounds.  Now I weigh 187 pounds.  I suppose you could call that a significant lifestyle change.

I’m a geek that can pretty much do anything you can think of with a computer but I rarely, if ever, act like a geek.  I knew what I wanted to do when I was 13 and started my own company.  I’m a programmer and a designer, both logical and artistic.  Unlike most people, I use both hemispheres of my brain equally.  I’m diplomatic, sensitive, empathetic, and patient.  I’m a people person, and I’ve never met anyone that couldn’t get along with me.

I’m a talented driver, and in a way it’s a shame that I’m not racing professionally.  I guess I realized that as soon as you start doing what you enjoy for a living, you don’t really enjoy it anymore.  I like cars way too much to ever be a professional driver.  With that same logic, I could never be a chef either.

It’s impossible for me to tell you what my favorite food is, but I discovered a long time ago that I’m a sandwich man.  A sandwich connoisseur if you will.  This shouldn’t really come as a surprise.  After all, everything is better as a sandwich.  I could write an entire book on sandwiches, and I probably will, so I’ll have to cut this short and save the rest for my book.

I’m not a materialistic person, but I do enjoy my toys.  I don’t own a lot of things, but when I do decide to purchase something, it has to be the best.  If I’m not driving my Subaru STI, building the fastest Subaru GC8 race car in the country, doing work on my 8-core Mac Pro,  or watching my Panasonic V10 plasma, I’m sleeping in my Tempurpedic bed.  I have a deep appreciation for quality, and as a result, I have fairly expensive tastes.

I love my family very much and they always come first.  Two of the newest and furriest members of my family are Lulu and Nala.

Four years ago I met the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.  If you couldn’t guess, her name is Kym.  You can tell that we’re serious because we spent $9 on a domain name.  I’d tell you all about her, but she has her own page for that.
