Lulu’s story.

Lulu was four-years-old when we rescued her in July of 2009.  We met her at a pet expo of all places, and knew we had to have her.  After waiting several months for paperwork, a house visit and approval, we finally brought her home.  We were told she has a history of abuse, but no idea to what extent.  With time, patience and love, Lulu outgrew many of her initial behavioral issues and showed us how loving she can be.  We are continually impressed with Lulu’s patience with children, often sitting still while they poke her eyes, pull her tail, try to ride her…

The beautiful (aka stuck up) one.

Lulu is quite a beautiful Keeshond.  But with great beauty often comes a price.  Yes, she sheds.  She sheds a lot, and she sheds everywhere.  She’s very aware of her beauty and tends to be selective with whom she allows to pet her.  She clearly feels that Keeshonden are the breed of choice, as she prefers to be in the company of her own breed.

Also the strange one.

Lulu enjoys stealing raw hides from her sister Nala, chasing rabbits and barking at the UPS man.  She will do anything for a Dingo bone, and she likes to lay with all four legs underneath her.
